Challenge
This project highlights the resilience and collaboration required to restore a vital natural area impacted by fire, and we are proud to have documented this story with professionalism and precision. The primary challenge of this project was finding effective ways to document the cleanup efforts while accurately and respectfully featuring both a state government agency—the Iowa Department of Natural Resources—and a private contractor, CTC Disaster Response. Balancing the representation of these two key stakeholders required thoughtful planning and execution to ensure their collaborative efforts were showcased cohesively and authentically. Our team worked diligently to navigate this challenge by capturing professional and unbiased visuals, highlighting the technical expertise of the private contractor alongside the important role of the state agency. Through strategic drone photography, on-the-ground videography, and insightful interviews, we created a narrative that honored both parties' contributions, resulting in assets that effectively communicate their shared mission and impact.
Goal
The goal of this project was to provide CTC Disaster Response with high-quality video and photo assets to elevate their marketing efforts. CTC needed visuals that not only documented the cleanup efforts by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in the Loess Hills but also told a compelling story about their impact and dedication. To achieve this, our team at Creative Olsen utilized a combination of advanced drone photography and videography, capturing sweeping aerial views of the cleanup site, as well as on-the-ground interviews that brought the human side of the story to life. These assets were designed to resonate with their audience, providing dynamic and professional visuals that will strengthen CTC Disaster Response’s marketing materials and enhance their brand presence.
Result
The end result was a collection of stunning video and photography assets that told the story of the cleanup efforts with professionalism and clarity. By combining aerial drone videography, ground-level footage, and compelling interviews, we delivered high-quality visuals that showcased the collaboration between the Iowa Department of Natural Resources and CTC Disaster Response. These assets provide impactful storytelling tools for marketing and public outreach.
